NOTE PASSANTI (vol.1 - 2022)
Katya Sanna si conferma, con il suo ultimo lavoro Note passanti, un’artista dalla sensibilità unica e con un approccio compositivo che, pur rimanendo prossimo alla musica colta e di avanguardia, riesce ad essere in ogni caso fruibile. Si tratta in questo caso di un progetto basato sul concept “dell’Eterno Presente”. Come di consueto, i medium espressivi esplorati da Katya Sanna non si limitano alla sola musica ma abbracciano anche le liriche, la fotografia e i video. L’album è di breve durata ed è composto da 3 tracce. La prima, intitolata “Unico Presente #1”, è un canto polifonico eseguito a cappella. L’ascolto ci immerge in una dimensione sacrale sempre più difficile da trovare nella nostra quotidianità. La successiva “Note Passanti (il pensiero degli alberi)” è strutturata in maniera molto originale: la musica è celestiale con la voce della Sanna sempre in evidenza accompagnata da un loop elettronico. Poi interviene una voce automatica che recita un testo surreale e apparentemente senza senso. In realtà si tratta di parole che interpretano il pensiero degli alberi. Il senso di queste liriche ci dimostrano, in definitiva, come la natura osserva l’uomo e la sua progressiva follia che sta portando alla distruzione del pianeta. Natura che un giorno potrebbe anche ribellarsi condannandoci alla nostra estinzione. La conclusiva “Il Canto Dell’Acqua” è invece un’improvvisazione vocale, accompagnata da un’elettronica mininale e tenue, che vuole evocare il percorso dell’Acqua in tutte le sfaccettature e le forme che questo elemento può assumere come la nebbia, la brina, il fiume fino al mare. In definitiva si tratta di un ascolto stimolante il cui unico difetto è forse quello della durata troppo esigua. Una mattina di Estate, all’improvviso, Antonello Cresti scompare. Inizia una affannosa ricerca, piena di rivelazioni, colpi di scena, frammenti di realtà mescolati con situazioni oniriche e paradossali. Che condurranno alla scoperta del grande tesoro e del senso profondo delle “musiche altre” in Italia, anche attraverso la presenza di un enorme numero di interventi esclusivi da parte di artisti e musicisti.
Un invito alla ricerca del nostro patrimonio musicale, che è anche un invito a non fermarsi di fronte alla superficie delle cose, per elevarsi dai conflitti e dalla banalità del presente.
“Solchi Sperimentali Italia” è un libro pubblicato da Crac Edizioni nell’Autunno 2015, con grande successo. Pubblicazione pensata per passare in rassegna 50 anni di “musiche altre” in Italia, dagli anni sessanta ad oggi, è presto divenuto un pretesto, una cornice per operare nel presente e tentare di promuovere i tesori dell’underground musicale del nostro paese. E’ così nato un canale su Youtube, una rubrica web, una serie di festival itineranti, un tributo a Claudio Rocchi, una etichetta discografica, una webradio, presto una collana editoriale. Questo DVD è la più importante operazione messa in campo per documentare il “qui e adesso” delle ricerche musicali in Italia.

embroider. It is a collection of handmade embroideries initially inspired by
the Leggy Dolls, rather popular in Europe and Canada 70s, just initially
because working on this project the dolls of “Bambole” have taken their
well-defined identity and character away from the original idea. The trait of
this kind of embroidery is the modern, contemporary, called “pop embroidery”.
Here the final work is the result of a performance produced often without

Radio is an online radio open to the public who can share sounds and opinions.
On the platform participants send radio plays, debates, interviews, lectures,
music, scripts, sound art, noises, stories and ideas. Launched at Kunst Halle
of St. Gallen (CH) Estman Radio is an ongoing and itinerant project also hosted
by Museums and Institutions as a recording station available to the public to
perform live.

As I
announced yesterday: This week's Catfights show started with the news of the
disappearance of two of the most beautiful and honest radio shows on the
national radio in Belgium. Both duyster and Laika, het avontuurlijkste
programma van Klara will stop broadcasting at the end of this week. So this
Catfights mix became kind of a tribute to the avant garde of Laika in the one
and the melancholy of Duyster in the other way. Since the Catfights shows are
always a personal exploration of true and honest music. I feel like being in a
positions right in between those two radio shows, and thus a tribute was in
it's place. As I said before. Both of the programs will be gone, but forever in
the ether. Enjoy another Catfights trip. It's dedicated to my fellow music lovers.

Songwriter,
singer, painter, poet. Vocalist, endowed with a range of four octave. She
composes very personal melodies and harmonies which a singing style
characterized by an ancient flavour with arrangements which sum up electronic,
ethnic, romantic, ethereal atmospheres. The lyrics of Katya’s songs are often
inspired by literary themes, for instance her long reserch on myths and legend
from all the world. Apart from her works as a vocalists, she likes very much to
collaborate with other artists who belong to different musical culture in order
to get in touch with a lot of genres: Soundtracks, Jazz, Ancient Music, Heavy
Metal, Multimedial music and poetry project. She is also the author of the
fantasy trilogy “Le Chant De L’Ange” hosted by “Il baco del millennio” di Radio
Rai1 National Italian Broadcaster. She manages a blog dedicated to myths,
legends, traditions, art. As multimedia artist she have received the European
award ART GOLDEN CARD. Some art expò as painter: Palazzo delle Esposizioni of
Rome, Atelier Gustave, Montparnasse Paris (France), Embassy Of The Arab
Republic Of Egypt, Rome, Geraldes Da Silva di Porto (Portugal), Congress Palace
of Agrigento (Sicily) International art expò of modern and contemporary art
“Agrigento Arte Segnali del Tempo” (Agrigento Art Signs of Time ), "Making
(our) World" in occasion of Venice Biennale 2009 ar Aura Art Gallery. In
2009 she have 2 new cd: "Impronte di Calliope" cd of poetry and
vocals, and "Grand Tour" cd her version of songs of: The Beatles,
Fabrizio De Andrè, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, David Sylvian, Joan
Baez-Ennio Morricone, Faust’O, and her homage to Cathy Berberian. In 2010
partecipates at the "Rom'Art Independent Festival" with her live
performance “The Landing” winning the "Alda Merini Award" for the
emotive and evocative content, for the expressive power and the pure capacity
to join distant sounds from the of the habitual present.
Cantante vocalista compositrice di melodie e armonie che
spaziano da atmosfere elettroniche, etniche, ma anche romantiche e rarefatte. I
testi dei suoi brani spesso sono ispirati da temi letterari, come la sua
ricerca su fiabe, miti, leggende di tutto il mondo. Oltre a realizzare lavori solistici
ama moltissimo collaborare con altri artisti dalla cultura diversa
attraversando così molti generi: colonne sonore, jazz, musica antica, heavy
metal, progetti multimediali di musica arte visiva e poesia. Come artista
multimediale ha ricevuto il riconoscimento europeo ART GOLDEN CARD. Come
pittrice fra le esposizioni ricordiamo: Palazzo delle Esposizioni di Roma,
Atelier Gustave di Montparnasse Parigi (Francia), Ambasciata della Repubblica
Araba d’Egitto di Roma Geraldes Da Silva di Porto (Portogallo), Palacongressi
